Worship & Arts
Cardiff University Christian Union has a long tradition of musical worship in our corporate times together and has a vast amount of musicians and vocalists to help us in the worship ministry at the CU. The one other thing that unites us is the fact that we love the Gospel, and we are committed Christians who love, follow and serve Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. All our CU gatherings are centred on the message of the Cross, the Gospel of Jesus, and the grace that is to be found in Him.
The musical worship at CU reflects this too. We are called to be "worshippers who worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth, because the Father is seeking such people to worship Him" (John 3:23-24). Because of this truth, the Worship Ministry at CU has four key aims. Our musical worship at CU is something that:
- Fulfils the great commandment - Our times of worship in CU should reflect the command of Jesus to love Him alone, and to put Him first in all things. (Mark 12:30)
- Reflects our Great Gospel - Our times of worship in CU should be Gospel focussed, (Isaiah 6:1-8, Exodus 24:1-11, Acts 2:22-47, Revelation 4-5)
- Serves the Great Commission - Our response to the Gospel provokes a stirring up of our faith in a way which fires us and prepares us to go out and share the Gospel with those who are not yet Christians themselves. (Matthew 28:18-20)
- Anticipates the Great Coming - Our times of worship in CU should remind believers of the urgency of living and speaking for Jesus and should stir believers to greater obedience and passion for Christ and His Word. (Luke 12:35-36)
There is something for everyone at Cardiff University Christian Union. This is true of the Worship Ministry here too. If you would like to be involved, then why not come and find me at CU and you can sign up! Otherwise, you can find some contact information on the contacts page of the website, or look below for details on contacting the Worship & Arts department at Cardiff University Christian Union. There are always positions open for the following:
- Musicians (Band and Orchestral)
- Vocalists
- Worship Leaders

- Media Team
- Pack up/Pack down team
- People who have a car who are willing to transport equipment.
- Pray-ers
You don't have to audition for anything, as long as you are able to play an instrument to the best of your ability, as the Bible tells us to play skilfully to the Lord.
Well, thank you for taking the time to read this page, and I pray that God will bless you in the times of worship that we have at CU!
