Church

1 Corinthians 12:12 'The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.'

We'd love you to get involved with the local church in Cardiff.

Highfields Church has been around for sixteen years and has grown to a congregation of 500 on a Sunday morning. Highfields Church is itself a community of communities with people of all ages and all nations part of the family. The main emphases of the Church are Bible teaching and Mission so the vision statement "making and maturing disciples of Christ" is at the heart of everything that happens from music to mission teams, schools work and social action projects.

Glenwood is a friendly, non-denominational church. We are a group of Christians of all ages and backgrounds who want to put God's love into action. We aim to promote community life at spiritual, social and practical levels. We have four congregations where Sunday morning services are held 3 Sundays out of 4. One Sunday morning a month the congregations join together to worship in the main church building in Llanedeyrn. Midweek we meet in 'Life Groups' where we aim to encourage and support each other and have informal Bible study.

Mackintosh church was established over 100 years ago, is close to the city centre and a short walk from many of the Cardiff University halls of residence. We seek to use the gifts of all the members to the glory of God. Over the years we at Mack have welcomed visitors from many parts of the world. We invite you to join us at any of our services, whether you live in Cardiff or are just visiting. Our web site lists some of the services we hold each week together with the church's doctrinal statement.

Ararat Baptist Church is a warm and welcoming Church found in the heart of Whitchurch Village, 3 miles north of Cardiff city centre. Our mission, along with other churches in our area, is to become the heart and support of our local community. Cardiff Vineyard was established in 2008 as a plant from Trent Vineyard. We seek to grow an imaginative, relevant and outward-looking community who passionately worship God and seek to serve those who have less. We aim to make and equip disciples, raise up leaders, plant new churches and be a blessing to the wider body of Christ based on the truth of the Bible, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the joy of knowing Jesus Christ. Our vision for students is to raise up a generation of young leaders who will risk everything they have for the King and his Kingdom. We dont have our own building so check our website to find out where we are meeting (it often changes). We are part of the Vineyard movement.

Gabalfa Baptist is a growing church welcoming a large range of ages and cultural backgrounds. A firm emphasis is placed on the preaching of God's Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our worship. We believe God's word can minister to the needs of everyone. Music is a mixture of older hymns and newer songs, to be both relevant and reverent. The large number of students in term times meet after the evening service, which is a great time of discussion and sharing. We warmly welcome anyone joining us. Services are translated into Farsi, with facilities for other languages if needed.

Woodville Baptist has a wide range of people from all walks of life, with a particular emphasis on ministry to the 18-30s. We think of ourselves as a "Word and Spirit" church - with strong commitment to the authority of scripture but also an eager openness to the Holy Spirit.
Our heart is to raise up, mobilize, equip, encourage, resource, and send out a generation of dynamic people to fulfill the call of God on their lives. We want to connect you to spiritual mums and dads who will impart their all into you. Encourage you to be passionately in love with Jesus and give your entire life for the King and the kingdom.

Solace is a Baptist Union sponsored church plant, but with a difference. The aim of Solace is to make church relevant and accessible to a 21st century, post-Christendom society. It mercilessly strips away everything from church that is mere tradition and endeavours to get back to the core of what church is really all about. Don't expect sermons, hymn singing, pews and pulpits!!

City Temple is a city centre church with a citywide vision. Started in 1929 after an extraordinary 51 nights of pioneer outreach meetings, which saw over 3,000 converted and many wonderful healings, the City Temple opened in 1934 on a prime site opposite Sophia Gardens and a stone's throw from the new Millennium Stadium. We are a growing church with an increasingly international congregation. We have a heart for the expanding city of Cardiff, for Wales and for the Nations. Sunday morning service attracts all ages and has a full junior church programme. Our evening service is more contemporary in style with a revival emphasis.

St Mellons Baptist Church is a group of almost 90 Christians who share the same experience of salvation in Jesus Christ and commitment to Him. None of us were born Christians, but each of us came to an understanding of our need of salvation at different times and in different ways. We enjoy fellowship together, and are committed to reaching out into our neighbouring communities of Old St Mellons, Llanrumney and St Mellons, and to the wider district of Trowbridge, Pontprennau and the smaller villages to the North and East of the church. We run a large Sunday School, a toddler group, a variety of clubs for children and teenagers, as well as a coffee-morning, and lots more besides!
